At Happy Acres Doggy Daycare, our general policies are designed to ensure a safe, fun, and caring environment for all dogs while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, staff safety, and respectful pet behaviour
Lets talk about our Paw-licies
Age requirements
All dogs attending happy acres must be at least 4 months old and fully vaccinated.
Reservations
We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak times! We can not guarantee you a spot when you need one as we may be at full capacity.
Drop-off & Pick-up
All dogs must be dropped off and picked up during our business hours. Seek the bottom of the first page for more information about hours! Late pickups may incur a fee!
Extra buddies
Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks and contagious illnesses, flea/tick prevention is recommended. Staff will remove ticks from dogs.
Emergency care
In the event of illness or injury, we will contact you about your dog immediately and may seek veterinary care if necessary. Our staff are trained in dog first-aid. In result we will make an incident report and it will be presented to the owner.
Food/medication
Owners may provide food for dogs with special diets or if the dog requires lunch. Medication at this time must be labeled with instructions: we can administer oral and topical medications only.
Photos!
We may take photos/videos of your dog during their day at our facility. We may use them for social media or marketing purposes. PLEASE let us know in writing if you prefer your dog not to be included.
Arrival procedures
All dogs must enter and exit the facility on a secure leash!
Payments
Payment is due at the time of service unless a package plan is in place. We accept cash, credit/debit cards along with digital payments such as E transfers.
Waiver
Our online waiver must be signed prior to Happy Acres accepting your dog into our facility
Illness
Dogs showing signs of illness (E.G, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea) may result in your dog not being able to attend/early pick up.
Inclement weather
In extreme weather (E.G blizzard, hail storms) we may close or operate with limited hours.
Vaccinations required
Proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian is required prior to your dog’s first visit
Rabies
Rabies is required by law: Proof of their current vaccination is mandatory!
Distemper/Parvovirus
(parvovirus) must be current to protect against common canine illnesses such as Canine distemper, Canine parvovirus, Canine adenovirus and Canine parainfluenza. these illnesses spread easily in social settings, like daycare.
Bordetella
(Kennel cough) required every 6-12 months depending on your vets recommendation.
